The developer's published Clover RPG PC controls use left click for a normal attack, R for a critical attack, F for block or parry, and Q with a direction for a roll. Learn the defensive inputs before building long attack sequences.

A short defence-first practice routine

Choose an enemy you can approach without attracting several others. Watch a single attack before answering it. Try defending on the next attempt, then move away and recover your position. This lets you learn the enemy's rhythm without mixing too many new inputs together.

Next, practise a directional roll and return to a comfortable distance. Observe whether you are rolling toward the next attack or creating a useful opening. Do not assume that every enemy action can be blocked, parried or avoided the same way; use what you see in that encounter.

Add a short attack sequence

Use one normal attack, then stop and check whether you can defend before the enemy responds. Extend the sequence only when the recovery window is clear. When you are hit, identify whether you started too early, stayed too long or lost sight of the target.

Introduce the critical attack separately so you can recognise its timing. The goal is a repeatable opening you can use under pressure. An attack sequence that works once against an idle target does not establish a guaranteed combo.

Practise misdirect and aerial inputs deliberately

The developer describes misdirect as the alternate attack produced by right clicking after a normal attack input. Try the input slowly in a safe situation before adding it to a fight. Focus on recognising when it begins rather than pressing both buttons repeatedly.

For the published aerial input, check shift lock, jump, and use the normal attack input. Keep enough space to see the landing and the target. Add one new action at a time, and return to the defence routine if the sequence makes it harder to avoid the next hit.

When the expected input does nothing

Check your current bindings, whether a weapon or fighting style is equipped and whether the game menu or chat has focus. Some actions depend on context, such as being near a wall or using shift lock. On console, follow the game's displayed controller prompts rather than translating this keyboard table literally.

If you need to report a problem, note the input, the equipped item, the enemy or location and what happened instead. That is more useful than changing your whole setup before you know whether the problem is a binding, a requirement or a timing mistake.

GOOD TO KNOW

Before you head out

Does Clover RPG support console?+

The official game description lists PC and console. Use the in-game controller prompts; the developer reference shown here documents keyboard and mouse inputs.

Is the menu key Tab or U?+

The developer's published controls post says Tab. If your current build displays another binding, follow that in-game prompt.
