Clover RPG magic changes how you approach a fight: Light has a healing option, Flame links spells with burning targets, Wind rewards aerial casting, and the remaining kits offer their own movement, pressure or control tools. Start with the moves your grimoire actually has unlocked, then compare the seven families below.

Community reference note — reviewed October 25, 2026: these summaries cross-check BloxInformer with individual community magic pages. They describe documented kits, not developer-certified balance tests. Costs, unlocks and some labels vary by version; the current in-game description takes priority.

Flame: connect a setup with a punish

Binding Flame provides a restraint, Scorching Barrage attacks an area, and Amplified Wrath rewards basic attacks against burning targets. This gives Flame a reason to mix spells with weapon pressure rather than casting every ability as soon as it becomes available.

Try one setup spell followed by a short normal-attack sequence. Observe when the restraint ends and whether the burn is still present. Check your opening again after a miss; a control effect is useful only when you can reach the target before it recovers.

Light: separate your damage window from recovery

Swords of Conviction sends light blades toward your aim, while Blinding Rush closes distance. The kit also documents a healing action and the Divine Field ally-healing option. References differ between the labels Divine Light and Diving Light for the healing skill, so identify it by its description.

Practise landing the projectile sequence without spending your escape or recovery option first. In a group, check where allies must stand for the healing field; a theoretical support effect adds little when everyone is outside its area.

Wind: make the airborne interaction deliberate

Gale Updraft lifts you, Tempest Blade supplies a directed projectile, and Tornado displaces enemies. Aerial Efficiency reduces casting cost while airborne; Blade Storm modifies the projectile when its alternate input is used. These are the useful links to understand before planning a Wind sequence.

Compare the same cast from the ground and after a controlled launch. Record resource use and landing accuracy separately. Follow the displaced target with your camera: gaining height is not automatically an advantage if your next spell misses.

Lightning: test the buff against an ordinary rotation

Electro Beam covers a straight line, Dragon Impact attacks a targeted area from above, and Lightning Shroud enhances the user. The kit combines aimed ranged attacks with closer strikes. Published passive lists are less consistent than these core move names, so no passive-dependent damage promise is made here.

Repeat a short route with and without the available buff, keeping the target and equipment the same. Count missed beams and time spent repositioning. A faster-looking animation is not enough to show that your whole route has improved.

Shadow: manage delayed pressure and the follow-up input

Shadow Annihilation uses tracking orbs, Shadow Tendril connects a restraint or tether, and Void Beam has a recast interaction. Fear The Shadows is described as a nighttime damage condition. This makes timing and environment worth recording when you compare two attempts.

Practise the beam activation and follow-up separately before adding the tether. Watch when the orbs actually reach a moving target. If you compare results across day and night, note the difference rather than attributing every change to your new weapon or stat allocation.

Beast: control the approach and the exit

Apex Claw is a claw strike, Howling Slash launches and returns the opponent downward, and Vicious Assault attacks around the user. Feral Impact is another close-range pursuit action. The public references disagree on some approach animations, so their names do not establish a guaranteed chase or combo.

Enter with one approach, land a short sequence, then see whether you can defend or leave. Do not spend every movement action reaching the target. Test the distance of nearby slashes against a moving enemy, rather than relying on a demonstration against a stationary one.

Time: distinguish control from a guaranteed lock

Slow Zone affects movement within an area, Time Stop and Chronostasis supply stasis-style control, and Warping Blitz repositions above a target. Rewind is documented as health recovery, although references disagree on whether to classify it as a skill or passive.

Test one control effect against the enemy you are actually farming. Record whether it applies, when the target can move again and what remains available afterward. Check the recovery behaviour in a safe encounter before treating Rewind as protection from a lethal attack.

Compare the full cost of a fight

A long damage number is only one part of an encounter. Compare how often you land an ability, how exposed you are after casting and what remains available if it misses. Test at a similar character level against the same enemy type with the same equipment.

Run a short, repeatable sequence rather than changing your whole build at once. Record attempts, successful hits and the time spent recovering resources. If an ability behaves differently against another target, note that matchup instead of assuming the effect works everywhere.

Read the unlock requirements before planning around a skill

Owning a grimoire and having every part of its kit ready are different situations. Check each listed requirement and whether the effect is currently active on your character. An appealing showcase may use abilities or passives you have not unlocked.

Follow the active grimoire objective and read what each unlock grants. Do not plan around an ability merely because it appears in a showcase; record what is available on your own character and the next requirement you can actually complete.

A keep-or-reroll decision you can explain

Keep your current magic while it is helping you complete your actual objective. Consider a change when you can name the specific problem: unreliable aiming, an uncomfortable range or a resource pattern that repeatedly interrupts your route. A rarity label alone does not identify that problem.

Before spending, write down the item cost, whether the result is random and what else the item resets. Set a limit you can afford to lose. The probability tool accepts a rate you provide, but its independent-roll model does not promise a result or reproduce an undocumented pity system.

  • Record your current magic and unlocked abilities.
  • Test one repeatable encounter before changing your setup.
  • Separate cosmetic preferences from mechanical effects shown in the menu.
  • Save a desired playstyle and the reason for changing in your build notes.

Which magic is best in Clover RPG?+

There is no tested universal ranking on this site. Compare your current kit against your own objective, equipment and unlocked abilities rather than treating rarity as proof of strength.

Does the odds tool use official magic rates?+

No. Enter a rate from a current source you trust. The tool explains a mathematical scenario and does not claim to simulate the live game.
